Gurl stole my look

20131023_124318

This morning my fashionable friend and I rocked up to work in similar jerseys – and yes, it was a coincidence.

Our styles are worlds apart – which is why we never (ever) buy the same thing – not even earrings. So you can imagine the giggles as we realised we wore jerseys look alike.

She wore her blue knitted pullover over a loose fitting white shirt. She also wore boyfriend jeans (super in at the moment) and black stilettos. Her mohawk makes this look edgy and funky – with a smart twist.

I wore my jersey with light peach top and burnt orange pants. Black heels were also a hit with our looks, as I wore them too.

So, who stole whose look?

Anisa Mpungwe for Mr Price

I was thrilled to hear the news Anisa Mpungwe of Loin Cloth and Ashes partnering with Mr Price for a limited-edition collection.

This collection, which is part of the  store’s ‘Project’ limited lines, boasts structured numbers with graphic prints in black, white and yellow. Compared to her Loin Cloth and Ashes designs, the cuts in this range are simplified – and made with pockets like mine in mind.

Mr Price says the Tanzanian born designer drew inspiration from late eighties street-style, the range includes a bold letter-print top as well as a loose-fitting zipper jacket (see pic below).
